2012 Reunion

Aloha Family,

We are hopeful that you have already heard by now that we are planning to hold a family reunion July 5-7, 2012. Everyone we have spoken to so far seems amiable to the idea and since it has been almost 20 years since our last one, we will be holding this reunion here in Waimea on the Big Island again.

We are looking to include the descendants of John Kaapuni and Ululani Keliiliki.

Using the last family group records collected in 1992 we are very interested in gathering more current information about our families so we can prepare a family book. We are looking forward to helping our current generations learn more about and stay connected to their extended famliy. As you become aware of this endeavor we would greatly appreciate your help in the following ways:

1. We need a contact person for each family who will be responsible for the distribution and collection of information.

2. We need current family group records. A lot of time has passed and there are undoubtedly many more persons who have become a part of our ohana.

3. We welcome your ideas and assistance in deciding upon and carrying out the activities we will have during our reunion.

4. If you live on the Big Island, especially in Waimea, we would appreciate knowing if you would be able to accomodate individuals of our family who may need a place to stay.

5. We can better communicate with you all if you provide this committee with your names, addresses, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, etc.

6. We need help to pull this whole even off and welcome you all to serve on or be incharge of a committee.
